Description: The new collector's coin designed to commemorate the Liberation is a 50 pence piece depicting a magnified map of the Falkland Islands in the background with a back view of a ‘Yomper’ in the centre. The marching figure is seen carrying a rucksack on his back with a Union Flag. Approved by Buckingham Palace the obverse of the coin bears a fine couped effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Ian Rank-Broadley FRBS FSNAD.
