Description: Series "Technical inventions of the Hungarian engineers and inventors".

The coin is devoted to the Hungarian engineer-inventor Banks to Donat. In 1893 he together with other known Hungarian engineer Janos Chonka invented the carburetor for the stationary engine (known also under the name Engine Banks-Chonka) He also invented the water-turbine called his name.

The coin is round in square with a raised rim on the obverse and the reverse. The coin’s edge is plain.

The Obverse: to the center the relief image of the a portrait Banki Donat, to the top the inscriptions on hungarian BÁNKI DONAT, years of life of the inventor - 1859 - 1922. To the right the inscriptions on hungarian A BANKI-FELE VIZTURBINA FELTALOJA.

The Reverse: to the center the relief image of the parts of the water turbine. To the top value - 1000 FORINT. The down inscriptions on hungarian - MAGYAR KÖZTÁRSASÁG. Year of issue - 2009.
