The 4th coin from a series of the European Football Championship 2012.
The coins, struck by the Pobjoy Mint in the UK, consist of four in total and depict scenes of footballers in action on the football field or “pitch” which also includes background designs of specific landmarks representing the venues and cities which will be hosting the tournament.
The coin is round in shape with a raised rim on the obverse and the reverse. The coin’s edge is milled.
The Obverse: relief image of a double portrait of Her Majesty of Queen Elizabeth II, conjoining a contemporary and the first numismatic portrait used in 1953. Around inscriptions - ELIZABETH II ISLE OF MAN, year of issue - 2012.
The Reverse: to the center the relief image of two football players executing a passing. On a background The Cathedral of the Transfiguration of Jesus in Donetsk and the Raclawice Panorama in Wroclaw. The down value - ONE CROWN.
